The medical mission team of Queen of Peace Parish in Gainesville packed more than 1,000 pounds of medical supplies Friday, Oct. 2, in preparation for their mission trip to Haiti, Oct. 6-14.
The team provided health care for the residents of the home for the elderly the parish built and supports. They also worked with an orphanage run by the Missionaries of Charity and the St. Boniface and Hands Together foundations, which provide medical, nutritional, educational and development services throughout the island.
Members of the medical mission took turns blogging from Haiti.
